SEC. 10722. OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSITIONS. Section 1001(a) of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (42 U.S.C. 16391) is amended by adding at the end the following:“(6) Hiring and management.—To carry out the program authorized in this section, the Under Secretary for Science may appoint personnel using the authorities in section 10726 of the Research and Development, Competition, and Innovation Act. “(7) Authorization of appropriations.—There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary to carry out 136 STAT. 1709 the activities authorized in this section $20,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027.” .
