CODIFICATION OF SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM.

SEC. 561. CODIFICATION OF SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM.(a) In General.—Section 1143(e) of title 10, United States Code, is amended—(1) in the heading, by adding “; Skillbridge” after “Training”; and (2) in paragraph (1), by adding at the end “Such a program shall be known as ‘Skillbridge’.”. (b) Regulations.—To carry out Skillbridge, the Secretary of Defense shall, not later than September 30, 2023—(1) update Department of Defense Instruction 1322.29, titled “Job Training, Employment Skills Training, Apprenticeships, and Internships (JTEST-AI) for Eligible Service Members”; and (2) develop a funding plan for Skillbridge that includes funding lines across the future-years defense program under section 221 of title 10, United States Code.
