SEC. 5599C. SENSE OF CONGRESS REGARDING THE STATUS OF CHINA. It is the sense of Congress that—(1) the People’s Republic of China is a fully industrialized nation and no longer a developing nation; and (2) any international agreement that provides or accords China a favorable status or treatment as a “developing nation” should be updated to reflect the status of China.
