future assistance projections Sec. 581. The Congress finds that, as is the case with most domestic programs, overall constraints on the Federal budget will have a significant impact on the ability of the United States Government to meet program requirements in the coming years. Therefore, in order to assist the Congress to make the difficult policy choices attendant to budget shortfalls, the Congressional Presentation Documents of departments and agencies included within this Act shall contain funding projections for each of its major program components for each of the three years following the year for which new budget or other authority is being requested. The requirements of this section shall be effective for the Congressional Presentation Documents submitted for the fiscal year 1992.
