firefighter pay capSec. 440. Section 1701 of division B of the Extending Government Funding and Delivering Emergency Assistance Act (5 U.S.C. 5547 note), as amended by Public Law 117–103, is further amended—(1) in subsection (a)(1), by striking the last sentence and inserting “Any Services during a given calendar year that generate payments payable in the subsequent calendar year shall be disregarded in applying this subsection”; and (2) in subsections (a), (b), and (c) by inserting “or 2023” after “or 2022” each place it appears.
