AUTHORIZATIONS OF APPROPRIATIONS.

SEC. 401. AUTHORIZATIONS OF APPROPRIATIONS. In addition to the amounts authorized to be appropriated under title II, there are authorized to be appropriated the following amounts to the United States Information Agency for the Voice of America for the purpose of carrying out title V of the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 and the Radio Broadcasting to Cuba Act: 101 STAT. 1381 (1) for “Salaries and Expenses”, $177,200,000 for the fiscal year 1988 and $180,744,000 for the fiscal year 1989; (2) for “Voice of America/Europe”, $3,000,000 for the fiscal year 1988 and $3,060,000 for the fiscal year 1989; and (3) for “Radio Broadcasting to Cuba”, $12,652,000 for the fiscal year 1988 and $12,905,000 for the fiscal year 1989.
