DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Administration for Children and Families low income home energy assistance For an additional amount for “Low Income Home Energy Assistance”, $500,000,000, to remain available through September 30, 2026, for making payments under subsection (b) of section 2602 of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Act of 1981 (42 U.S.C. 8621 et seq.): Provided, That $100,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2026, shall be made available in fiscal year 2022, $100,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2026, shall be made available in fiscal year 2023, $100,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2026, shall be made available in fiscal year 2024, $100,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2026, shall be made available in fiscal year 2025, and $100,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2026, shall be made available in fiscal year 2026: Provided further, That, of the amount available for obligation in a fiscal year under this heading in this Act, $50,000,000 shall be allocated as though the total appropriation for such payments for such fiscal year was less than $1,975,000,000: Provided further, That such amount is designated by the Congress as being for an emergency requirement pursuant to section 4112(a) of H. Con. Res. 71 (115th Congress), the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2018, and to section 251(b) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985.
