SEC. 573. EXTENSION AND EXPANSION OF REPORT ON THE TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE. Section 552(b)(4) of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 (Public Law 115–232) is amended—(1) 132 Stat. 1771.in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking “4 years” and inserting “seven years”; (2) 132 Stat. 1772.in subparagraph (B), by inserting “, disaggregated by whether such attendance was in person or remote” after “counseling”; (3) 133 Stat. 1395.by redesignating subparagraphs (F) through (I) as subparagraphs (I) through (L), respectively; and (4) 133 Stat. 1395.by inserting, after subparagraph (E), the following new subparagraphs:“(F) The total number of members who did not attend Transition Assistance Program counseling due to operational requirements. “(G) If the information described in subparagraph (F) is unavailable, processes the Secretary is implementing to collect such information. “(H) Assessment.An assessment of challenges to attending Transition Assistance Program counseling in person.” .
