MODIFICATION TO REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO COMBATING MILITARY RELIANCE ON RUSSIAN ENERGY.

SEC. 1803. MODIFICATION TO REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO COMBATING MILITARY RELIANCE ON RUSSIAN ENERGY. Section 1086 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Public Law 117–263) is amended—(1) in subsection (a)(2), by striking “main operating bases” and inserting “operating bases”; and (2) in each of subsections (b) and (g), by striking “main operating base” each place it appears and inserting “operating base”; (3) in subsection (c)—(A) in the subsection heading, by striking “Main”; (B) by striking paragraph (1) and inserting the following new paragraph (1):“(1) Identification of installations.—The Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a list of operating bases within the area of responsibility of the United States European Command ranked according to 137 STAT. 686 mission criticality and vulnerability to energy disruption as follows:“(A) In the case of a main operating base, by not later than June 1, 2023. “(B) In the case of any operating base other than a main operating base, by not later than June 1, 2024.” ; and (C) in paragraph (2)(A), by inserting “(A)” after “paragraph (1)”.
