SEC. 741. PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES TO OFFICES OF MISSION TO THE UNITED STATES OF THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES. The Act entitled “An Act to extend diplomatic privileges and immunities to the Mission to the United States of America of the Commission of the European Communities and the members 101 STAT. 1395thereof”, approved October 18, 1972 (86 Stat. 815), is amended by adding at the end the following: “Under such terms and conditions as the President may determine, the President is authorized to extend to other offices of the Commission of the European Communities which are established in the United States, and to members thereof— “(1) the privileges and immunities described in the preceding sentence; or “(2) as appropriate for the functioning of a particular office, privileges and immunities, equivalent to those accorded consular premises, consular officers, and consular employees, pursuant to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.”.
