United States Marshals Service salaries and expenses For necessary expenses of the United States Marshals Service, $1,702,000,000, of which not to exceed $20,000 shall be available for official reception and representation expenses, not to exceed $8,900 shall be available for INTERPOL Washington official reception and representation expenses, and not to exceed $25,000,000 shall remain available until expended: Provided, That the Director of INTERPOL Washington shall concurrently report to the Deputy Attorney General. construction For construction in space that is controlled, occupied, or utilized by the United States Marshals Service for prisoner holding and related support, $8,000,000, to remain available until expended. federal prisoner detention For necessary expenses related to United States prisoners in the custody of the United States Marshals Service as authorized by section 4013 of title 18, United States Code, $2,236,000,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That not to exceed $20,000,000 shall be considered “funds appropriated for State and local law enforcement assistance” pursuant to section 4013(b) of title 18, United States Code: Provided further, That the United States Marshals Service shall be responsible for managing the Justice Prisoner and Air Transportation System.
