Legal Activities and General Administration salaries and expenses, general administration For expenses necessary for the administration of the Department of Justice and for examination of judicial offices, including purchase of two passenger motor vehicles for replacement only; miscellaneous and emergency expenses authorized or approved by the Attorney General or his Administrative Assistant; special attorneys and special assistants to the Attorney General; and examination of estimates of appropriations in the field; $2, 285, 000, of which not to exceed $2, 245, 000 shall be available for personal services. salaries and expenses, general legal activities For expenses necessary for the legal activities of the Department of Justice not otherwise provided for, including miscellaneous and emergency expenses authorized or approved by the Attorney General or his Administrative Assistant; and advances of public moneys pursuant to law (31 U. S.
