Senate salaries, officers and employees Office of the Secretary: For an additional amount (effective on the first day of the first month following enactment of this Act) to increase the basic salary of parliamentarian from $8,000 to $12,500 so long as the position is held by the present incumbent; and for the basic salary of assistant parliamentarian to be selected by the parliamentarian, $5,940; $7,120, and the Legislative Branch Appropriation Act for the fiscal year 1952 hereby is amended accordingly.
