BONNEVILLE POWER ADMINISTRATION construction For construction and acquisition of transmission lines, substations, and appurtenant facilities, as authorized by law, to remain available until expended, $66,523,400, of which $4,096,400 is for liquidation of obligations incurred pursuant to authority previously granted. operation and maintenance For necessary expenses of operation and maintenance of the Bonneville transmission system and of marketing electric power and energy, $6,600,000. 66 Stat. 447 administrative provisions Appropriations of the Bonneville Power Administration shall be available to carry out all the duties imposed upon the Administrator pursuant to law, including not to exceed $75,000 for services as authorized by Section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U. S. C. 55a), including such services at. rates not to exceed $100 per diem for individuals; purchase of not to exceed twenty passenger motor vehicles (of which ten shall be for replacement only); and purchase (not to exceed one) of aircraft. Appropriations made herein to the Bonneville Power Administration shall be available in one fund, except that the appropriation herein made for operation and maintenance shall be available only for the service of the current fiscal year. Not to exceed 12 per centum of the appropriation for construction herein made for the Bonneville Power Administration shall be available for construction work by force account or on a hired-labor basis, except in case of emergencies, local in character, so declared by the Bonneville Power Administrator. “The. Bonneville Power Administrator”, is hereby added after “the Commissioner of Reclamation”, in subsection (a) of section 6 of the Act of October 15, 1949 (Public Law 359, Eighty-first Congress), as amended.
