Sec. 211. (a) The last sentence of section 4 (c) of the Housing and Rent Act of 1947, as amended, is amended by inserting after the word “section” the following: “for persons engaged in national defense activities and”. (b) Section 4 (e) of the Housing and Rent Act of 1947, as amended, is amended by striking out “July 31, 1951” and inserting in lieu thereof “June 30, 1952”. (c) Section 4 of such Act is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection: “(f) For the purposes of this section, any parent of a member of the armed forces of the United States who lost his life in the armed services of the United States since September 16, 1940, shall be considered to be a member of the family of a veteran of World War II.”
