Bureau of the Budget Salaries and expenses: For expenses necessary for the Bureau of the Budget, including newspapers and periodicals (not exceeding $200); teletype news service (not exceeding $900); not to exceed $70,000 for expenses of travel; and not to exceed $20,000 for services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U. S. C. 55a), at rates not to exceed $50 per diem for individuals; $3,382,500: Provided, That the Bureau of the Budget is authorized, without regard to section 505 of the Classification Act of 1949, to place two additional positions in grade GS–18 and two additional positions in grade GS–17 of the General Schedule established by said Act.
