Experts and Consultants or Organizations Thereof.—
Sec. 530. Experts and Consultants or Organizations Thereof.— (a) Experts and consultants or organizations thereof, as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U. S. C. 55a), may be employed by any United States Government agency for the performance of functions under this Act, and individuals so employed may be compensated at rates not in excess of $75 per diem, and while away from their homes or regular places of business, they may be paid actual travel expenses and per diem in lieu of subsistence and other expenses at a rate not to exceed $10 while so employed within the continental limits of the United States and at the applicable rate prescribed in the Standardized Government Travel Regulations (Foreign Areas) while so employed outside the continental limits of the United States. (b) Persons of outstanding experience and ability may be employed without compensation by any United States Government agency for the performance of functions under this Act in accordance with the provisions of section 710 (b) of the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended (50 U. S. C. App. 2160), and regulations issued thereunder.
