Retroactive Applications for Benefits Sec. 105. (a) Section 202 (j) (1) of the Social Security Act is amended by striking out “sixth” and inserting in lieu thereof “twelfth”. (b) The amendment made by subsection (a) shall be applicable only in the case of applications for monthly benefits under section 202 of the Social Security Act filed after August 1954; except that no individual shall, by reason of such amendment, be entitled to any benefit for any month prior to February 1954.
