Command: commissioned officers of Army Medical Service
§ 3579. Command: commissioned officers of Army Medical Service (a) A commissioned officer of the Army Medical Service, other than an officer of the Army Nurse Corps or Women’s Medical Specialist Corps, is not entitled to exercise command because of his rank, except within the Army Medical Service. (b) An officer of the Army Nurse Corps or Women’s Medical Specialist Corps may exercise command only within her own branch, or over persons placed under her charge.
