Purchase of patents, patent applications, and licenses

§ 7210. Purchase of patents, patent applications, and licenses (a) The Secretary of the Navy may buy letters patent, applications for letters patent, and licenses under either letters patent or applications for letters patent. The purchases shall be made from appropriations available for the purchase or manufacture of the equipment or material to which the purchased letters patent, applications, or licenses pertain. (b) The Secretary, to the extent he considers proper, may delegate the authority conferred by this section to any person in the Department of the Navy, with or without the authority to make successive redelegations.
