§ 5035. Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Air: appointment; duties; compensation (a) There is an Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Air, appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. (b) The Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Air, under the direction of the Secretary of the Navy, shall— (1) supervise naval aviation and coordinate its activities with other agencies of the United States; and 280 (2) perform such other duties as the Secretary prescribes. (c) The compensation of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Air is that prescribed by law for assistant secretaries of executive departments.
