Acquisition of Buildings Abroad For necessary expenses of carrying into effect the Foreign Service Buildings Act, 1926, as amended (22 U. S. C. 292–300), including personal services in the United States and abroad; salaries, expenses and allowances of personnel and dependents as authorized by the Foreign Service Act of 1946, as amended (22 U. S. C. 801–1158); expenses of attendance at meetings concerned with activities provided for under this appropriation; and services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U. S. C. 55a), $8,500,000, of which not less than $7,500,000 shall be used to purchase foreign currencies or credits owed to or owned by the Treasury of the United States, to remain available until expended: Provided, That not to exceed $900,000 may be used for administrative expenses during the current fiscal year.
