Sec. 19. On and after the effective date of this Act, the Act entitled “An Act for the retirement of public school teachers in the District of Columbia”, approved August 7, 1946, as amended, shall apply to probationary and permanent employees of the Board whose salaries are fixed under section 1 of this Act, and all references in the said Act of 69 Stat. 530August 7, 1946. to the Salary Act of 1947 shall be interpreted to apply to this Act. Nothing in this section shall require the recomputation of the annuity of any person retired under the Act of August 7, 1946, as amended, prior to the effective date of this Act, or of any person retired prior to the effective date of the Act of August 7, 1946, as amended, whose annuity is computed in accordance with the provisions of that Act.
