FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Salaries and expenses: For necessary expenses in performing the duties of the Commission as authorized by law, including newspapers (not to exceed $175), land and structures (not to exceed $4,200), special counsel fees, improvement and care of grounds and repairs to 70 Stat. 342 buildings (not to exceed $15,000), services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U. S. C. 55a), purchase of not to exceed five passenger motor vehicles, for replacement only, in the event adequate vehicles cannot be obtained by transfer from other departments or agencies, and not to exceed $118,000 for expenses of travel, $7,828,000, of which $141,000 shall be available for such expenses as are necessary to make a study of radio and television network broadcasting.
