SEC. 3503. DELETION OF REQUIREMENT FOR SOLICITOR GENERAL APPROVAL OF APPEAL TO A DISTRICT COURT FROM A SENTENCE IMPOSED BY A MAGISTRATE. Section 3742(g) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting “(except for the requirement of approval by the Attorney General or the Solicitor General in the case of a Government appeal)” after “and this section shall apply”.
