Any veteran who accepts the benefits of this title shall not by reason thereof be denied the benefits of title III of the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act of 1944; however, the assistance authorized by this title shall not be available to any veteran who has received financial assistance under part IX of Veterans Regulation Numbered 1 (a).
