FEDERAL POWER COMMISSION Salaries and Expenses For expenses necessary for the work of the Commission, as authorized by law, including not to exceed $375,000 for expenses of travel; hire of passenger motor vehicles; and not to exceed $500 for newspapers; $7,218,000, of which not to exceed $10,000 shall be available for special counsel and services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), but at rates not exceeding $50 per diem for individuals: Provided, That not to exceed $354,200 shall be available for investigations relating to Federal river development projects.
