Transfer of ten-point preference eligibles

§ 3334. Transfer of ten-point preference eligibles (a) An employee entitled as a preference eligible under chapter 17 of title 5 to ten points in addition to his earned rating, who transfers between positions in the same salary level at a post office, shall not, as a result of the transfer, incur loss of seniority if he presents, to the Civil Service Commission, within thirty days after the transfer, satisfactory evidence to the Civil Service Commission that the transfer was necessitated principally by reason of a disability which he received on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States. (b) The Postmaster General may not reduce a regular employee to substitute status to accord the benefits of this section to another employee.
