§ 302. Postmaster General The head of the Department is a Postmaster General appointed by the President by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Postmaster General is vested with the functions of all subordinate officers and agencies of the Post Office Department. His term is for the term of the President by whom he is appointed, and for one month thereafter.
