§ 704. Reimbursement for equipment on discontinuance of office The Postmaster General shall reimburse, on a fair and equitable basis, the postmaster of any discontinued post office of the first, second or third class for equipment and fixtures that were— (1) furnished by the postmaster; (2) necessary to the efficient operation of the post office; and (3) in use in the post office at the time of discontinuance.
