§ 6401. Definitions As used in this chapter— “star route contract” means a contract for the transportation of mail over a post road other than a railroad and may include collection and delivery service to patrons of the postal service; “contract motor vehicle service” means a formal contract for a fixed term for service in accordance with section 6403 of this title; “mail messenger service” means service performed in accordance with section 6403 of this title under an informal agreement without term.
