Emergency mail service in Alaska

§ 6102. Emergency mail service in Alaska The Postmaster General may provide difficult or emergency mail service in Alaska, including the establishment and equipment of relay stations, in such manner as he deems advisable, without advertising therefor, at a total annual cost not exceeding $25,000.
