§ 5102. Issuance of money orders (a) The Postmaster General shall cause money orders to be issued at such post offices, including stations and branches, as he designates. (b) The Postmaster General may not permit a money order to be issued under this chapter for more than $100. (c) A money order is not valid unless drawn upon a form furnished by the Postmaster General. (d) The Postmaster General may not permit money orders to be issued on the condition that identification of the payee, indorsee, or attorney may be waived, nor permit payment to be made of a money order so issued.
