survivors of individuals who died prior to 1040 and of certain other individuals Sec. 205. (a) Subsections (d)(1), (e)(1), (g)(1), and (h)(1) of section 202 of the Social Security Act are each amended by striking out “after 1939”. (b) That part of section 202(f)(1) of such Act which precedes subparagraph (A) is amended by striking out “after August 1950”. (c) The primary insurance amount (for purposes of title II of the Social Security Act) of any individual who died prior to 1940, and who had not less than six quarters of coverage (as defined in section 213 of such Act), shall be computed under section 215(a)(2) of such Act. (d) The preceding provisions of this section and the amendments made thereby shall apply only in the case of monthly benefits under title II of the Social Security Act for months after the month in which this Act is enacted, on the basis of applications filed in or after such month.
