Definitions.—

Sec. 233. Definitions.—As used in this title— (a) the term “person” means a citizen of the United States or any corporation, partnership, or other association substantially beneficially owned by United States citizens; and 75 Stat. 433 (b) the term “survey of extraction opportunities” means any survey directed (i) to ascertaining the existence, location, extent, or quality of any deposit of ore, oil, gas, or other mineral, or (ii) to determining the feasibility of undertaking operations for the mining or other extraction of any such mineral or for the processing of any such mineral to the stage of commercial marketability.
