Section 205 of the National Defense Education Act of 1958 (20 U.S.C. 425) is amended by deleting the word “or” immediately preceding clause (ii) of section 205(b) (2) (A) and by adding immediately after that clause the following: “or (iii) not in excess of three years during which the borrower is in service as a volunteer under the Peace Corps Act: Provided, That this clause shall apply to; any loan outstanding on the effective date of the Peace Corps Act only with the consent of the then obligee institution,”.
