SEC. 325. REPORT ON SS-23 MISSILES.Pursuant to its constitutional responsibilities of advice and consent in respect to treaties, the Senate requests that before submitting to the Senate for its advice and consent to ratification a Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, the President provide a classified report with an unclassified summary to the Senate on whether the SS-23 INF missiles of Soviet manufacture, which the Soviets have confirmed have existed in the territories of the former East Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Bulgaria, constitute a violation of the INF Treaty or constitute deception in the INF negotiations, and whether the United States has reliable assurances that the missiles will be destroyed.
