INTER-AMERICAN ORGANIZATIONS.
SEC. 178. INTER-AMERICAN ORGANIZATIONS. (a) Policy.—Taking into consideration the long-term commitment by the United States to the affairs of this hemisphere and the need to build further upon the linkages between the United States and its neighbors, the Congress believes that the Secretary of State, in allocating the level of resources for the “International Organizations and Commissions” account, should pay particular attention to funding levels of the Inter-American organizations. (b) Finding.—The Congress finds that the work done by these organizations has been of great benefit to the region, and the United States itself has experienced a positive return from their efforts.
