Sec. 125. Section 7230 of title 10, United States Code, is amended to read as follows: “§ 7230. Sale of degaussing equipment “(a) To promote the installation, repair, and maintenance of degaussing equipment on vessels registered under the laws of the United States, the Secretary of the Navy may, under such regulations as he may prescribe, sell degaussing equipment that is available from Navy stocks, but that is not readily available commercially, to owners or operators of privately owned merchant ships of United States registry. “(b) Sales under this section shall be at prices representing the current or estimated replacement cost to the Navy. “(c) The proceeds of sales under this section shall be paid to the credit of the current appropriation or fund concerned.”
