Foreign Service officers, Reserve officers, and Foreign Service staff officers and employees who are entitled to receive basic compensation immediately prior to the effective date of this title at one of the rates provided by section 412 or 415 of the Foreign Service Act of 1946, shall receive basic compensation on and after the effective date of this title at the rate of their class determined to be appropriate 76 Stat. 863by the Secretary of State: Provided, That staff officers and employees shall be transferred to the new staff classes established by this Act as follows: Present claim under section 413 of the Foreign Service Act of 1946 Corresponding new class under section 415 of the Foreign Service Act of 1946, as amended 1 Remain at present class and salary rate until revised pursuant to new section 415(b).
