§ 11–101. Judicial power The judicial power in the District of Columbia is vested in: (1) inferior courts, namely, The District of Columbia Court of General Sessions; The Juvenile Court of the District of Columbia; and (2) superior courts, namely, The District of Columbia Court of Appeals; The United States District Court for the District of Columbia; The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit; and The Supreme Court of the United States.
