National Capital Planning Commission salaries and expenses For necessary expenses, as authorized by the National Capital Planning Act of 1952 (40 U.S.C. 71–711), including services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a); and uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 2131); $665,000. land acquisition, national capital park, parkway, and playground system For necessary expenses for the National Capital Planning Commission for acquisition of land within the District of Columbia for the park, parkway, and playground system of the National Capital, as authorized by section 2 of the Act of June 6, 1924 (43 Stat. 463), $550,000, to be immediately available: Provided, That of such amount $50,000 shall be available only for the purpose of making relocation payments comparable to those provided for in title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1450–1464). land acquisition, john f. kennedy center for the performing arts For necessary expenses for the National Capital Planning Commission for acquisition of land for the site of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, as authorized by the John F. Kennedy Center Act (72 Stat. 1698), as amended, $2,175,000, to be immediately available: Provided, That of such amount $175,000 shall be available only for the purpose of making relocation payments comparable to those provided for in title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1450–1464).
