NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION Salaries and Expenses For expenses necessary to carry out the purposes of the National Science Foundation Act of 1950, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1861–1875), including award of graduate fellowships; services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a); maintenance and operation of one aircraft; purchase of flight services for research support; hire of passenger motor vehicles: not to exceed $2,500 for official reception and representation expenses; and reimbursement of the General Services Administration for security guard services; $479,999,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That of the foregoing amount not less than $37,600,000 shall be available for tuition, grants, and allowances in connection with a program of supplementary training for secondary school science and mathematics teachers: Provided further, That not to exceed $1,000,000 of the foregoing appropriation may be used to purchase foreign currencies which accrue under title I of the Agricultural Trade Development and Assistance Act of 1954, as amended (7 U.S.C. 1704), for the purposes authorized by section 104(k) of that Act: Provided further, That no part, of the foregoing appropriation may be Transferred to any other agency of the government for research without the approval of the Bureau of the Budget.
