Suits by and against executors and administrators
§ 20–1501. Suits by and against executors and administrators (a) Executors and administrators may commence and prosecute any civil action which the testator or intestate might have commenced and prosecuted, and may be sued in any civil action which might have been maintained against the deceased. (b) In a civil action based on a tort claim, brought by or against an executor or administrator, the right of action conferred by this 79 Stat. 726section is limited to damages for personal injury. It does not include the right to recover for pain and suffering.
