§ 21–1101. Definitions As used in this chapter: “District Training School” means the institution established pursuant to section 32–601, and designated the “District Training School” by section 32–602, or any successor to that institution; “feeble-minded person” means a person afflicted with mental defectiveness from birth or from an early age, so pronounced that he is incapable of managing himself and his affairs, or being taught to do so, and who requires supervision, control, and care for his own welfare, or for the welfare of others, or for the welfare of the community, and is not mentally ill to such an extent as to require his commitment to Saint Elizabeths Hospital, as provided by chapter 5 of this title or other laws with respect to the commitment and custody of mentally ill persons.
