§ 5594. Back pay; individuals reinstated or restored after suspension or removal for national security An individual suspended or removed under section 7532 of this title who is reinstated or restored to duty under section 3571 of this title is entitled to pay in an amount not to exceed the amount he normally would have earned during the period of suspension or removal, at the rate received on the date of suspension or removal, for all or a part of the period for which he did not receive pay with respect to the position from which he was suspended or removed, less the amounts he earned through other employment during that period.
