Sec. 107. The Secretary is authorized to advise, assist, and cooperate with, other Federal departments and agencies, and State and other interested public and private agencies, in the planning and development of— (1) motor vehicle safety standards; (2) methods for inspecting and testing to determine compliance with motor vehicle safety standards.
