Sec. 201. Paragraph (6) of subsection (j) of section 7 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (12 U.S.C. 1817(j) (6)) is repealed and section 3 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (12 U.S.C. 1813) is amended by adding the following new subsection (q): “(q) The term “appropriate Federal banking agency’ shall mean (1) the Comptroller of the Currency in the case of a national banking association or a District bank, (2) the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in the case of a State member insured bank (except a District bank), and (3) the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the case of a State nonmember insured bank (except a District bank).”
