Section 103(b) of the Housing Act of 1949 is amended by inserting after the first sentence the following new sentence: “In addition to the authority to make grants provided in the first sentence of this subsection, the Secretary may contract to make grants under 80 Stat. 1261this title, on or after July 1, 1967, in an amount not to exceed $250,-000,000: Provided, That the authority to contract to make grants provided by this sentence shall be exercised only with respect to an urban renewal project which is identified and scheduled to be carried out as one of the projects or activities included within an approved comprehensive city demonstration program assisted under the provisions of section 105(c) of the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan Development Act of 1966.”
