training and education of health service personnel Sec. 101. Section 4101 of title 38, United States Code, is amended by inserting “(a)” immediately before the first sentence and by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection: “(b) In order to more effectively carry out the functions imposed on the Department of Medicine and Surgery by subsection (a) of this section, the Administrator shall carry out a program of training and education of health service personnel, acting in cooperation with schools of medicine, dentistry, osteopathy, and nursing; other institutions of higher learning; medical centers; hospitals; and such other public or nonprofit agencies, institutions, or organizations as the Administrator deems appropriate.”
